Question: What is the difference between the standard and the professional version?

Answer: The difference between the standard edition and professional edition consists in more possibilities to open projects with the professional edition .
The standard edition can open projects saved in .mpp, .mpt, .xml, .mdb and .mpd format, local or on web (ex: http://www.mysite.com/projects.mdb).
The professional edition can open projects saved in .mpp, .mpt, .xml, .mdb, .mpd format, local or on web (ex: http://www.mysite.com/projects.mdb), and projects saved in central databases, like Oracle and MS Sql server.

Answer: In order to verify your SqlServer's DSN you can follow these steps:
1 - create a generic dummy.txt file
2 - rename dummy.txt file into dummy.udl
3 - double click on to dummy.udl
4 - go to "Provider" context and choose "Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server" and click "Next"
5 - complete "Connection" context with your Server Name, User, Password and Database Name and click "Test Connection"
6 - if the test is OK click "OK"
